Is this abandoned?
No, not at all! The thing is, this story and The Story of FireClan are really just rough drafts for a trilogy I'm making that will combine the two and other memories FireClan has faced. Thanks for the support, and so many pageviews 0-0. Thanks guys! I love chu all!
PS- When I finish making that story (It'll be awhile) I'll post it on a blog and advertise it more. To stay updated, check out my YouTube account: Dimmed (Animal Jam Clans). You'll recognize it, trust me <3

Chapter
Chapter 18
Victor
I nudge a mouse toward the she-cat. It's the pest prey we've caught in a long time.
"Flower, you need to eat," I say. She shakes her head sadly.
"I'm not hungry," she replies. I sigh and look into her eyes.
"Listen, Flower. Do you want Honey to have a mother to come back to? Because if you die of hunger or thirst she'll probibly die too!" I raise my tone a bit. Obviously Flower won't listen to kind words. She sighs.
"You're right, Victor," she admits. "I've been selfish. You're right."
"Don't be so hard on yourself, please. Eat the whole mouse and then we'll stop by the lake. Afterwards, we can go back to the hill and see if we can spot anything, okay?"
"Oh, Victor, that'd be great!" Flower leans over and takes a bite of her mouse. It's good to see her eating again. After she's finished, we walk out to the lake where we both lap up some water. Now we can head up to the hill.
It's a long way up, but the veiw is spectacular. The only reason I had the dawn patrol claim the hill is because I can see all of the forest from up here, and we sometimes meet up here when planning any attacks on other creatures. Not once have we had to fight other cats.
"I don't see her blonde pelt," Flower says sadly after we've reached the top.
"Don't give up yet," I say. "You never know where she could be." But I must admit, the forest is silent, only a few flickers of movement. No yellow cats.
I look over at Flower, but she's staring at something below. That can't be good.
"Flower?" I ask. "You okay?"
"Ffff..." Flower begins. She's shaking.
"What?" She's creeping me out. "Flower, spit it out!"
"Fffff.... fooo.... fox!" Flower yowls. Sure enough, there's an orange pelt below. But that's no fox.
"Flower, that's not a fox," I say. She looks at me.
"Then what is it?" she asks. I take a double glance back at the orange pelt.
"I don't recoginse it, but it's a cat."
Quick Checkup
I have NOT given up on this story. I have two trips coming up, and so much going on in my life, plus I'm still trying to think of more plots for these five stories (as in this blog's)! So, no more in-order stories, because I'll work on whoever's I feel like. Because Rage, Fastclaw, and Wolfstrike have absolutely no things going on in their life so I need to think of some. For now, Victor and Thornclaw are taking over.

A Short Break
So, I haven't been in the Warriors mood lately. I'm going to take a short break from Cats of the Northern Backyard. I'm busy editing FireClan and working on the new story, so there's plenty to read. I'll post a new Cats of the Northern Backyard today and every few days, but I shouldn't have started it so soon before I could finish editing the Story of FireClan. Look on the FireClan Stories blog for a link to the revised FireClan. I'll put the link on here too. That way, you can read the old story and the revised one. There will be more events and more detailed chapters, so I advise you to check it out. Also, look at the new story, Hope Isn't Free. I've been posting one chapter a day each morning since I have so much time.

My Main Story Site!
I made a new blog for all my stories. It has links to the FireClan trilogy page, and my new story, Hope Isn't Free. I'll post news and stuff in case I have to go on a trip or whatever so you'll know what to expect and blabla. Tonight I have tropical storm Andrea to deal with and possibly a bit tomorrow, but the worst is tonight. Anyways, just check out The Wolf Quests.

A new, non Warriors story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Guess what! I just made the first chapter to a new story. But this one is different. It isn't a Warriors fan-fiction! It is a fantasy futuristic story. Here is a little preview:
When Emedee's scientist parents invent a solution that can erase the barriers the queen put up to keep the people living in the Sanctuary "safe", her whole family becomes in danger of being discovered. But thanks to Emedee's friends, Colby and Awesome, she is able to escape with four gifts: a good luck charm from Awesome, and three of Colby's secret inventions, to the hedges the queen pronounced dangerous because of strange monsters living there, and discovers she is not alone. And along with her wolf friend, Emedee sets off on a quest to find what the queen really wants: Rainbow Valley, a lost civilization that the real natural barriers block, and the Crystal Clouds, a paradise legend that she doesn't even know exists, with a boy she met two days earlier. But Rainbow Valley isn't exactly what Emedee and Tyler predicted, and every second they waste fighting the closer the queen comes to following their paths for passing through the barriers and taking over Rainbow Valley all for herself, and if she succeeds, all of Emedee's glitching world could end, and the legendary Crystal Clouds may fade away forever, out of her reach.
Yeah it probably sounds stupid and confusing, but give it a chance, okay? Because it's really hard to make a preview for some crazy futuristic story sound good. And I get the fact that Emedee and Awesome aren't real names. I just alternated real names because the story takes place in the future. I've been working hard on it, so please check it out. It's called Hope Isn't Free. Here's the blog address:
hopeisntfree.blogspot.com
I posted a link on Cats of the Northern Backyard (I'll take that link down soon though since its not an original blog, but it's my current story) and on FireClan Stories, my new blog with all the link, updates, and news for the FireClan trilogy. Enjoy!

Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Rage
Crow goes over the winners in his head. Mouse, Rock, Twig, Moss, and Kale. Huh, wonder who the odd one out is? It would normally be the perfect group... Crow's thoughts are interrupted.
"Ready, Crow?" Stone asks. Crow looks up and nods.
"Yeah," he replies. Crow pads over to the excited cats, rockets with paws.
"Soon, with the help of these noble cats, the prey will return to our forest!" Stone's words bring cheers into the crowd. They die down as Stone continues. "Thanks to the hunters in the hunting competition, we have enough prey to sustain all cats for five sunrises. Hopefully, we will be able to catch enough prey for two more days. Crow, make sure your cats are back in six sunrises. As for the prey, there are three types of prey we are missing: the fish, the birds, and the ground prey: the mice." How can five cats possibly recover all the prey in the forest in six days? That's only two days per type of prey, not counting travel time! "Try your best. The fate of the forest and the Northern Backyard is in your paws."
Cheers ripple through the crowd once more. He forces a smile and waves his tail. The cheers grow louder. Stone nods to the black cat, and Crow jumps from the boulder. Mouse, Rock, Twig, Moss, and Kale follow. As soon as they're far enough away that the noise from the cats dies down, Crow stops and addresses the cats.
"Alright, any ideas for our quest?" Crow asks.
"Well," Mouse begins, "Stone said there were three types of prey missing, right? So let's start with the fish. It should be easy, since there's only one place the fish could be: the river! And that's easy to find and follow, you know?" There's a lot of knowledge to Mouse's words. Really, that's impressive thinking.
"Mouse, that's a great plan! We can save the forest prey for after we do the easiest one: the fish. You're a great thinker!" Crow exclaims.
"Oh, it was just common sense," Mouse says, blushing. Crow laughs.
"Whatever you say," Crow laughs. "Kale, you came from the fishing competition. Lead us to the river."
"Okay, can do," Kale says. He does a steady horse-like trot. It took a few seconds for even Crow to catch up. Kale continues to trot the same pace, and after a few minutes, Crow tires. He looks around to see that just about everyone besides Kale is growing tired too. These cats need something to distract them.
"So, when I did the smarts competition, I gave the cats a riddle. None of them are here now, so do you want to hear it?" Crow asked the cats.
"Hmm, sure. Why not?" Rock asks.
"Don't leave me hanging, Crow! Tell us!" Moss encouraged.
"Alright, alright," Crow says. "So there is this cat named Dandelion. Dandelion sees this rare moss from the giant oak. She wants the moss, but dangerous deadly bees are surrounding the trees, and she can't fly or climb the tree. But Dandelion still manages to get the moss, but how?"
"Moss should have no trouble with this one," Kale says. "It's based on her cousin!" Mouse just rolls her eyes.
"Perhaps Dandelion jumped from one tree onto the oak above the moss then climbed down to the moss?" Twig asks. Crow shakes his head.
"Good thinking, but no," Crow replies. Soon the sound of the rushing river fills his ears.
"Here we are, the river," Kale says. "I don't know about you, but I'm ready to find what has the fish!"
"Kale, the rest of us are tired! Let's catch some lunch," Twig says. The others murmur in agreement.
"Uh, the fish are, like, gone," Moss says.
"Not all of them. Just the large ones. Between the six of us, I'm sure we can catch at least a few smaller ones," Kale relies. The six cats line up against the shore, and Crow counts the shadows by the water.
One, two, three, four, five, six... seven? Wait, what? Crow looks behind his shoulder and sees a black shadow dart into the woods. Confusion, curiosity, and worry spill through him all at once. He looks back at the others, hunting happily.
Wait, Crow looks into the woods again. Two green eyes lock on his. Is that...

Sorry...
Hey, sorry I haven't been creating more chapters. I have been writing, just not this story. I've been editing The Story of FireClan, and when I'm done I'll post it on a separate blog. I've also started yet another story: my first non-warrior one! It's about a girl that lives in the far away future and I'll post that one on a blog as well. And I'm going to create a blog with links to all the others as just like an update one with news and stuff. It'll be like the main page for all my stories. So, I'm still thinking of a name for it, but I'll make a post with the blog address on this blog so all can see. So, I'll write more chapters for Cats of the Northern Backyard soon. I'll try to have the next chapter up tomorrow. Since it's summer I can make at least one chapter every two days, but remember, I now have four stories going:
Cats of the Northern Backyard
FireClan's Destiny
edited The Story of FireClan
and ugh I don't have a name for fantasy girl story!
Yeah so you get the point. Four stories, and I'll have the main blog page up with a link from The Story of FireClan. Also, I think I'll make a main FireClan page since it's become a trilogy. It will be:
FireClan Stories
fireclandrama@blogspot.com (I can't think of anything else available, and I used fireclanstories as the address for the Story of FireClan!!!!!!)
It will have all the news and updates for the FireClan trilogy, so look on that page for updates and stuff. Also, I probably won't post the updated FireClan until I've completely finished it so I can make changes and add more things in case I forgot something. So don't expect it to be posted just yet :P.
When I make a blog for fantasy girl story, I'll post the address on this blog, along with the address for my main story page when I think of a name. So... yeah.
Okay so you get the idea. Check out the new FireClan page in like five minutes and be sure to check it for updates. I didn't want Pebblestep thinking I abandoned the story, because I'm not!!!! It's just I have so much going on and I really need to edit FireClan. So, happy reading!!! :D

Chapter 16
Chapter 16
Victor
All cats turn as the strong black and white cat strolls by. To cats new to the land, he is no different from any other black and white cat, a common breed. But to the cats native to the land, this cat is much more. Braver, stronger. Prouder. The leader. This cat is Victor, king of the Northern Backyard, as the cats there call it. The Northern Backyard. I laugh as I think of it. Who else could think of a better name? Much catchier than "the front yard", or "the forest". It suits the cats here well, the northern backyard. None of us had a backyard in the housefolks' nests, with only a small section of grass sprinkled around the front, secured by a tall, wooden fence. But this way, we have a yard much better than any other cats'. The forest, full of the best belly-fillers around. Fancy Feast, Friskies, Meow Mix... nothing comes close to the fresh taste of mouse. Fish and birds, voles and frogs, good as well. But mouse... yum. I grin as I walk past the cats I've come to love along the entrance to the forest. They all nod and smile back, acknowledging me. Finally, I jump onto the stone where I address the Assembly of the Northern Backyard.
"Greetings, kits, elders. Welcome to the Assembly. I'd like to start with announcements," I say. "Prey seems plentiful, the housefolks' nests peaceful. All cats have been accounted for, yes?" I look into the faces of my crowd. They all nod.
"Wait!" A startled she-cat voice shouts. I look toward the direction of the noise. "My kit! My kit is gone!"
I nod. It's best to let the cat know that I'm concerned, but not worried. "It's alright, we'll find your kit. State your kit's name please."
"Honey!" The she-cat's voice is getting calmer.
"Where did you last see Honey?"
"Before I went to sleep. I had all my kits there... I woke up and she was gone!"
"It's okay. You're Flower, right?"
"Correct." I nod again.
"Flower, I will send out three patrols to search for your kit. One will go in the forest, the other around the lake, the last back to the housefolk. Let me have... group 5 for the forest... 8 for the lake... and 2 back to the housefolk. Search thoroughly and then get the group after your number to replace you and check again. As for the rest of you, I know Honey is important, but I won't let this ruin all of your time. Please enjoy your day and keep watch for Honey. If you happen to see this, inform me and I will inform the patrols. Alright, you can go!" I think that was well said. Nice work, Victor. I watch as cats hurry off, ready to play in the forest and hunt. It's the thing we do here: an organised, planned day. We all gather at this stone before heading into the forest for announcements. If cats have died we have a moment of silence and a vigil later on that day, and if a cat is missing we send out rotating searches so all cats can enjoy their day. Why let one careless cat ruin the day for everyone else?
"Victor?" I look down. The she-cat is standing beneath the stone I'm on.
"Yes, Flower?" I ask. She looks at her paws, then back up at me.
"Just... thank you, Victor. Thank you for being such a great leader and watching out for us. Thank you for watching out for our kits and elders, and doing your all to keep us safe. You're a great leader." My heart soars as she says this. I don't know what to say. So I hope down and look Flower in the eyes.
"No, thank you, Flower. It means a lot to hear those words from the heart. And rest assured, we'll find Honey. Would you like to come with me to the hill?" Flower's eyes widen.
"Yes, that would mean a lot," she replies happily. I grin.
"Okay then, let's go!" Together we pad off toward the forest, me doing my best to keep her talking, and she replying honestly to keep her mind off the possibilities.
<<<
Moon was a courageous cat who never stopped believing. She watched out for her fellow cats, even though she was their equal, not the leader. She would share her fresh-kill with those too young or old to catch their own, and would comfort those who lost others. Her best friend, Cloud, always helped her in her good deeds. They were the best of friends. And one day, Moon's life took a turn. Cloud was chasing a squirrel but the day turned to night and Cloud still hadn't returned. So Moon set out with her friends Dew and Gorse to search for her friend...
